"You may be in a game, but you're not here to play." A month has passed since Sword Art Online, the first ever virtual reality MMORPG, was cut off from the world. For ten thousand players, any in-game death inevitably leads to a death in the real world. After completing the first level, Asuna and Kirito continue their adventure together, with one goal in mind: to defeat the boss of the final level and end this macabre game. The conquest of the castle is progressing smoothly with the help of Argo, an informant, but a new peril threatens the players. Two guilds are fully involved in the completion of the game: ALS, the Aincrad Liberation Army, and DKB, the Dragon Knight Brigade, between whom a certain tension arises despite their common goal. At issue are the shadowy schemes of a mysterious schemer... As a new kind of conflict threatens the players, Asuna and Kirito must willy-nilly resolve the situation before the worst happens. Without unity, the players will never be able to complete Aincrad and return to the outside world...
